KPG FUNDS LAUNCHES SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES SPONSORING CLIMATE SOLUTIONS WORKSHOPS IN NYC COMMUNITIES

KPG is Leading the Way in Sustainable and Environmental Stewardship by Sponsoring Climate Solutions Workshops and Initiatives for NYC community gardens, neighborhood and the waterfront


Real estate investment firm KPG Funds today announced a sponsorship and partnership with Earth Celebrations’ Ecological City: Art & Climate Solutions Workshops.This extensive workshop series, offered free of cost, from February 29 – May 6 engages residents, youth and local groups:

  • Collaborate with our artists-in-residence creating visual art, giant puppets and costumes.
  • Explore local sites and their climate solution initiatives, from community garden bio-swales that filter pollution runoff, water harvesting ponds and solar micro grids, to green roofs and rooftop bee farms.
  • Learn about our community vision plan for climate resiliency on the waterfront.

Visual art and performance works created through workshops culminate in the Ecological City: Procession for Climate Solutions on Saturday May 9, 2020. The spectacular procession with 20 site performances celebrates the Lower East Side’s model urban sustainable ecosystem throughout the community gardens, neighborhood and waterfront.

Through the arts Earth Celebrations’ engages community participants to build a deeper connection to each other and our urban and natural world and work together creatively to build a sustainable future.
